I have a client who cleared her check audit list file after printing. She has a backup and would like to restore just that file. First, is it possible, second what is the name of the file? Is it the APCAUD.??? file in data?

Yes it is APCAUD.xxx.

You can restore this file without any problem, except that it will override any information on the new file.

I have never found a purpose for this datafile other than to look up voided checks. What can they possibly be using it for?

Steve, thanks for the input. I have two customers using the file to extract Positive Pay information. So the file is never cleared after printing as they then extract their positive pay info from there. Yes, Print Boss creates the positive pay, but this is another solution. I think I showed it at the show and tell portion of AOX about 3 years ago.
