There was this function on ACCPAC under "BOM/Reports/Component Availability Listing" that we could see if we have enough stock on a BOM item. Where can I find on Adagio on Component Availability?

Hi,

I'm thinking that you must have been using a custom report or add-on program with Plus to produce the report you're referring to.

Adagio doesn't have such a report either. You would have to have a custom report written for Adagio to report on this.

Hmm...must be a add-on program on Accpac. I thought Adagio would have such a function (hopefully in the future). Thank you. =)

Hi Andrew,

I found the manual for Accpac BOM. It's "Softline System Inc" 3rd Party Software Solutions for Accpac Plus.

This would be a GREAT feature in a future release of IC; the ability to do a provisional assembly to ensure that you have sufficient quantity of all raw materials to assemble in the required quantity.

Hi,
We had the same requirement for a recent install.
We quickly created a Gridview Workspace that listed the BOM master items, and then linked it to a composite table that showed the BOM details, with Qty available as a calculated field and shortages (in red) because colours are easier to see.
We added the finder feature because they have thousands of BOM's.
Appears to really do the trick, and way faster than the crystal report that they were considering us to modify.

Hi Brian Stief,
Sorry I'm new to Gridview. I'm tried to created as what you mentioned above. I'm able to create the workspace with BOM master items. I can do the composite table with BOM details. However I couldn't find the "Qty available" in calculated field. Please help. Thank you!

I think I figured it out in a simple way, even though it does not work like what I wanted. I like using Adagio more, as I started to learn more on how to use it. Thank you!
