Hello Angela,

Your computer tech should have been able to clear the files in your Windows\TEMP directory. You can find the actual location of this file by launching CMD.EXE and typing:
Code:
SET | MORE

and looking for the lines(s):
Code:
TEMP=C:\Users\ANDREW~1.STS\AppData\Local\Temp
TMP=C:\Users\ANDREW~1.STS\AppData\Local\Temp

You can go to each of those directories and delete (or perhaps move) all the files they contain. Be careful and make sure you are in the correct directory before doing this.

When Adagio is installed it creates a link to the sample data on your Start List. Look for Start | All programs | Adagio | Adagio Payables Sample Data and let us know the results.

Hello Angela,

It's possible that an improper backup/restore or program exit has left some temporary SmartFinder files in your data directory.

SmartFinder temporary files have a name format of xxFnnn'I and xxFnnn'R. xx is the application (say AP or GL) and nnn is some 3 digit number. The first created SmartFinder results file for AP would have 2 files APF001'I and APF001'R.

After everyone is out of the data, all of these files should get cleaned up. Any existing files like this could cause problems the next time - they should be removed.

If one of the files in the matched set exist and the other does not, that could give the '1011' error you are getting. Error 1011 typically means that either the index or the random file is missing.

Good Morning
I found a couple of files as discrbed in above, I have removed them from my data to new folder. Thas seems to have solved the problem thus far, I will let you know if anything else arises as the day gets going. Thanks for all your help.
