Strange problem occurred in posting in AdagioInvoices (8.1A 070921). Started with batch of five invoices, 11195-11199. Moved in two more from another batch, 11200 & 11201. E-mailed all seven. Moved in 3 others from other batches. Edited two of them. Closed the batch. Posted.
The five original invoices in this batch posted and are in history and AR. The five invoices moved from other batches did not post and now are totally gone.
DIC in both Invoices & AR is clean.

Hi, Kate,

Have you seen this behaviour yourself? Are you able to duplicate it in both the active data and in sample data?

If the missing invoices were being posted to customers for whom those invoice numbers already existed, they would not post. However, you would have received a message informing you of the duplicates and they would then have been placed in an error batch.

Could this be what happened? Could the error batch have then been deleted? Does the Batch Status report provide any more information?

Yes, I saw it.

Batch status report shows 12 transactions posted for a total of $10,696.25. Posting journal shows 5 invoices and a total of $4680.

Combined total of invoices in that batch was 11 invoices & $10696.25.

There were no duplicate invoice numbers. No error batch was created. Invoice numbers are all accounted for, so I don't know why the batch listing shows 12 transactions.

Okay. The IN batch status shows one thing and the printed IN posting journals show something else. Have the IN posting journals been purged? If not, are you able to reprint them showing the 5 invoices only?

Are you able to recreate this behaviour? Certainly the batch listing would occur prior to posting. However the posting journal (if not purged) and the batch status report should reconcile.

When moving transactions to other batches and re-editing, it might be useful to check integrity prior to posting the batch to determine if some transaction counts don't balance.

It is very difficult to say exactly what happened now that the batch is already posted. Did they happen to make a back up with the open batch before they posted? It might be useful to look at this.

Invoice Posting Journals have not been purged.

We will see what happens to the next batch we post. Otherwise, we cannot re-create it.

Last back-up was before moving invoices together into one batch.

We re-entered the batches and they did post correctly. Batch status report still shows the wrong number of transactions and wrong amount for the previous batch, even though data integrity is clean.
