We are suddenly having problems on both Ledger and Payables on one of our workstations. Fine this morning, speed of slug(and a very slow one at that) this afternoon. Have tested memory, cables, virus checker, and reinstalled via workstation setup several times with no improvement. To make things even more interesting, upon exit we received the message "list index out of bounds (0)" All other network applications on this workstation are running normally. Any insights would be very much appreciated.

Hi Sandra,

Well, something changed between the morning and afternoon. Perhaps a virus or Windows update? Anything else installed on the PC during that time? A hardware problem related to the network might also be a problem (cables, router, hub, network card). It would be for that workstation only, because a problem with any of these components on the server would impact all workstations.

Hi Sandra

Yes, do a Data Integrity Check. If it will take forever on the network, first copy your data down to your C: drive, point Adagio at that data, and try it there.

That error message sometimes indicates corrupted data.

Hi guys,

Thanks Steve, I will do an integrity check. Interesting development. We have been experimenting with different virus checkers, so tried removing what we installed on Thursday night. Warp speed returned. Hmmmm! Has anybody had similar problems running AVG ?

AVG - yes too many times. Try setting it so that it does not check x:\softrak where x = your server drive letter.

So, that was the culprit. Thanks for the advice.
