I keep trying to retire, yet my phone still rings from time-to-time with former clients seeking advice. I should say no but, like any recovering addict, this recovering Adagio consultant occasionally shows weakness, falls off the wagon and, unwisely, responds.

Recently, a former client called to say that he had upgraded his very outdated AP and GL to current versions, Payables 9.3B (231130) and Ledger 9.3B (231109). Since the upgrade, Adagio randomly dies. The crashes do not occur following a request to print, thereby throwing into question the Crystal version ?? issue as the culprit. The client says that when he opens GL and does nothing else, after about 3 minutes, Adagio spontaneously closes. The same thing happens when a user is making entries to a GL or AP batch. Adagio simply shuts down completely and without warning.

Client has only GL and AP. The Windows 10 Pro version is our favourite, 22H2

Here is what I have asked him to do
• Run Chksys. It often corrects the problem
• Reinstall the 2 modules and run wssetup at all stations
• On the server, rename C:\Windows\Crystal, then reinstall the 2 modules and run wssetup at all stations.

Any thoughts?
