I have a client that is having issues with the Order Action Report alignment. It is related to the length of the item number. Their item numbers are two segments, but the second segment varies in length. Example: SZ-19045 and SZ-19045AC. If the item number is not the last column in the report, everything to the right of the item number is misaligned. From the two items in the example, on the line for the second item, all data to the right of the item number is misaligned by two spaces. After reviewing all of the reports that include item number (in OE, IC, and SA), it was determined that it is just the Order Action Report. The client also posted about this issue (tmolinaro), but this post explains it in greater detail.

Steve Schwartz posted about this issue in August (shown below), but there has been no reply. I spoke with Steve and he is still having issues as well. Is there a resolution to this problem?

For now, I am instructing my clients to move the item number to the last field, but this is not always practical, especially if it is a primary sort field.
