Sometimes DOS works much better than Windows.

Go to the command prompt, change directory(s) to the folder in question, then (if this were sample data you might) ren *.SAM *.ADB and Enter. Don't rename any import files (eg. CSV or XLSX files).

Zip up the data and put the resulting zip in a separate folder. Then upload it.
