What program and version are you running? A couple of years ago, we have identified in certain specific cases that logging in as a user is giving a false error message regarding the assigned security group, which actually belongs to a different user. We have been fixing this problem - starting in Nov 2011 - and it may be that the version of the Adagio program you are running does not yet have this fix.

If you are running a version of Adagio that is current enough to have this fix applied but are still having a problem, then it might require some assistance from your Adagio consultant to determine what is happening.

Is there a security group 'limit' assigned to another user in your company?
