I tried this scenario, I created and saved an Excel Spreadsheet containing gibberish called Book1.xls. I closed Excel, put in different gibberish and told it to save again on the same network share. I got a "file already exists with this name" error, said Yes, and Excel overwrote the old gibberish with the new.

I also Copied a word processor document from my C: drive to the network share. I then copied it again, said "Yes" to the "Confirm File Replace" dialog box, and the file was overwritten.

Adagio's install program is doing something differently. Does Opportunistic Locking need to be turned off on the server?
