Hi Jim,

1) This error usually means that a drop-down field that lists a number of choices is missing one or more underlying choices. The first culprit I think of is specifications, as you can assign default specifications in the company profile. Perhaps one or more are selected, but the underlying spec file is missing. I suggest looking at the sample data (in the \softrak\oewin\samdata directory) and copy all OE$*.sam files to the data directory you are testing with. Rename the SAM file extension for these files to whatever file extension is used - they must match so that OE recognizes them. Or perhaps try deleting any default specs that you don't currently have in your data.

2) Currency codes cannot be edited. It would not a simple matter of changing this as currency codes are stored with every customer, vendor, item, account, transaction, etc. You can only ever select a home currency value when the data is first created and after that, you cannot edit the value.

3) Either copy OE$* files as indicated above, or use the Maintain Specifications program and use File / Open Template to create a new spec based on a template file. These templates are essentially the same as the sample specs. After opening a template, use File / Save As to save a new file in your data directory, with a file name starting with OE$ so that it is recognized by the program.

4) If you want Misc Charges to automatically calculate as a percentage rather than a flat amount, you currently cannot do this as a Misc Charge. Instead, you could create a 'tax jurisdiction' on the Tax Group that does this. The 'tax rate' of this jurisdiction would be the 35% charge or whatever it is. You can print this as a line item if you are using the current OE 81C in a 'Detail Tax Jurisdiction' section on the spec. One of the sample specs 'Invoice: Detail Tax:' shows this setup.
