    ·    Compatible with and required by future releases of Adagio modules at version 9.3A.

    ·    Installs a new Adagio Data Source (ADS) that prevents resource locking problems at large Adagio sites running 9.2x versions and improves application performance at these sites.

NOTE: All third-party applications from Adagio Developer Partners must use the new ADS. You must check with your Adagio consultant or the developer to confirm their application is using ADS 1.12. 66.3503 or higher. Failure to ascertain this risks corrupting data if the application is writing to the Adagio data files concurrently with Adagio modules.

    ·    The version of the Adagio Data Source (ADS) and ExcelDirect installed include fixes and enhancements allowing for improvements in Adagio modules made since Lanpak 9.2B. These include the following:

    ·    Station logs now detect Windows 10 correctly in all cases.

    ·    Station logs had blanks in remote entries if the Adagio application was logged in with a UNC rather than a mapped drive. The Remote Device and Remote Platform entries are now populated in this case.

    ·    Station logs always showed Remote Platform as the generic OS type, usually \\\"Win NT\\\". It now shows the actual server OS, such as “Windows Server 2012 R2”.

    ·    Station logs have new entry Remote OpLocks Setting that shows the Oplocks setting on the server as “Enabled” or “Disabled”. If unable to connect to remote registry it will show \\\"<cannot connect>”.

    ·    Improvements and fixes made to File Integrity Check and rebuild functions.

    ·    Logs use GMT rather than local time.

    ·    Improvement and fixes made to ExcelDirect for Adagio Cloud.

Enhancements and revisions in Adagio Lanpak 9.2A (2014.07.24)

Compatible with and required by future releases of Adagio modules at version 9.2A.

The version of the Adagio Data Source (ADS) and ExcelDirect installed include fixes and enhancements allowing for improvements in Adagio modules made since Lanpak 9.0E. These include the following.

Improves the handling of certain integrity problems in Adagio data files, minimizing the impact of damaged data should problems occur.

The Data Integrity Check (DIC), File Integrity Phase, now detects and rebuilds corrupt files in all modules that previously caused the DIC to stop responding and not be able to complete.

The selective uninstall (\Softrak\System\Lanpak\LanpakSelectiveUninstall.exe) for Lanpak 9.0E immediately exited and could not be used.

The Check Lanpak Status function in the System Status utility (chksys.exe) showed ** Unknown version ** for Lanpak 9.0E.

Support for Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2 in station logs.

Corrects the OpLocks Setting shown in station log files <computer name>.log in \Softrak\System\StationLogs. It was reported as Enabled instead of Disabled in some cases.

Enhancements and revisions in Adagio Lanpak 9.0E (2012.11.12)

Compatible with and required by new versions of Adagio modules with a release date in November 2012 or later.

The version of the Adagio Data Source (ADS) and ExcelDirect installed include fixes and enhancements allowing for improvements in Adagio modules made since Lanpak 9.0D. These include the following.

The Data Integrity Check in Adagio modules can now display "Checking Index x of y" on files with multiple indexes. For large files you know it has to cycle through the records multiple times and which pass it is currently on. For example: "A/P Transactions 1234 of 45678 (Checking index 1 of 2)".

The Data Integrity Check now better handles severely corrupted index files.

Improved details in error messages. This gives Softrak a better indication of the possible cause when troubleshooting problems.

Prevents 4105 type errors (e.g. "Error 4105 occurred when attempting to append record to <filename>."). A 4105  error can occur due to environment or resource locking problems when multiple users are writing to the same file. Preventing the 4105 error allows the Adagio application to continue to run, without data loss, when such problems occur. A rebuild in the DIC will repair the error and there should be no loss of data.

Most Access Violation (AV) type errors are now recorded in an exception log text file. The file is located in the program folder, for example: \softrak\receivables\receivables.error.log. This information aids in troubleshooting.

The Adagio Data Source (ADS) writes to station log files containing “last access” information about each workstation using Adagio, including the date, time, Adagio User ID, Windows User ID, Windows version, available memory and system settings. This information aids in troubleshooting.

The System Status function can create a snapshot of detailed information about your Adagio installation and package it in a single zip file that can be sent to Softrak Technical Support or your Adagio dealer to assist them when answering questions or tracing problems.

The List Versions function in the System Status function now includes Add-on products, such as Adagio EFT, Adagio BoM, and GridView-RW.

  • Compatible with new module Adagio ePrint.

  • Compatible with and required by new versions of Adagio modules with a release date in June 2011 or later.

  • The version of the Adagio Data Source (ADS) and ExcelDirect installed include fixes and enhancements allowing for improvements in Adagio modules.

  • This version moves toward our goal of a more Windows 7 friendly environment for installation. If you are installing to a mapped network drive that is normally accessible, but you cannot see it during the install when attempting to select a drive or folder, you can now install by browsing to the correct folder using the Universal Naming Convention (UNC), for example '\myserveraccouning' This avoids having to adjust the User Account Control settings, which requires you to restart your computer and temporarily grant Administrative privileges to the user if they are not an administrator.

  • The install writes to the master install log file "AdagioMasterInstall.log" in the softraksystem folder. This log shows the version installed and the version being replaced, the name of the Windows user who did the install and the rights for that user. An entry is also written to the log when an updated version of the Adagio Data Source (ADS) is installed, showing the version installed and the version being replaced. This log can be used to quickly determine the install history for all Adagio programs.

  • Compatible with Adagio Receivables 9.0A and associated compatibility upgrades it requires.

  • The System Check Utility (Chksys.exe in \softrak\system) has a List Versions button. It will list your installed Adagio versions and whether they are current, as well as list Adagio modules that you do not have installed. It downloads the latest Adagio program version list from Softrak’s web site.

  • Corrects a problem where, in some cases, installing a new Lanpak did not add licenses if you had installed Payables 8.1A (2008.08.21), Inventory 8.1A (2008.08.29), FX 8.1B (2008.07.25) or ODBC 9.0A (2008.07.31). Installing any other Adagio full, upgrade or Service Pack dated after August 2008 also corrected the problem. Existing Lanpaks were not affected.

  • Corrects a problem where licenses were not available in some cases until the Lanpak was registered and you entered the license number received back from Softrak Systems. Licenses are now available for 60 days before the license number is entered.

  • Fixed errors encountered with read-only files when installing on a LINUX server.

  • If the install detects that a Client NFR Lanpak (Not For Resale) has been previously installed it will offer to launch the Lanpak selective uninstall to uninstall the NFR, as full Lanpak licenses and NFR licenses cannot be mixed.

  • Compatible with Adagio Ledger 9.0A and all future 9.0A versions of other Adagio modules.

  • Checks for installation of duplicate Lanpaks. With earlier versions of Lanpak it was possible for the install to be confused when 2 Lanpaks of the same size were installed and use the same serial number for both. This caused problems when upgrading. Lanpak now checks for duplicate serial numbers when you start up an Adagio module. If this has happened, Lanpak will display the message: "Lanpak 9.0A (071101) with serial number nnnnn is not correctly installed". Contact Softrak Customer Service if this occurs and the resulting number of licenses is incorrect. You may have to reinstall and reregister your Lanpak.

  • The System Check Utility (Chksys.exe) has a Lanpaks Status button. It will show the Lanpaks installed, including the version and serial number of each.
