    ·    GridView-RW enables AdagioDirect, a new feature that allows the mass updating of Adagio Tables from external sources. The external tables can be managed using Excel, CSV Text, Access or any ODBC compliant data source. Enable the option by placing /ADM on the command line. /ADM disables GridView-RW even if /RW is present.  No validation is performed.

AdagioDirect allows you to set up a relationship map between the external data source and the Adagio table. Fields that match by name and type will be automatically linked for you.

Full details of this powerful new facility are included in the GridView F1-Help.

    ·    GridView-RW will now update records from multiple files in a single View loaded using the "*-All" file wildcard mask.

    ·    Improvements for Adagio Cloud.

    Problems Fixed

    ·    GridView-RW now more consistently detects whether records are being inserted rather than copied into a row set.

    ·    GridView-RW enables the “Replace” option on the ODBC Export function. This allows you to replace a table in place in an exported database.

    ·    You can now update encrypted fields such as credit card information. You must be logged in as user SYS.

    ·    You can now read records that are marked as deleted in a file. This can assist in recovering inadvertently deleted data.

    ·    You can now Delete Selected Rows in a View.

    ·    GridView-RW now reports an error when the Update to a file fails for some reason.

    ·    The cursor is now positioned on the first row of an inserted row set after the insert process is complete.

    ·    Compatible with Adagio Console and respects requests to shut down.

    ·    Includes 64-bit version.

    Problems Fixed

    ·    GridViewRW now more consistently detects whether records are being inserted rather than copied into a row set.

      • Compatible with Adagio GridView 9.0D. Requires GridView 9.0D.

      • This version moves toward our goal of a more Windows 7 friendly environment for installation. If you are installing to a mapped network drive that is normally accessible, but you cannot see it during the install when attempting to select a drive or folder, you can now install by browsing to the correct folder using the Universal Naming Convention (UNC), for example \\myserver\accounting\. This avoids having to adjust the User Account Control settings, which requires you to restart your computer and temporarily grant Administrative privileges to the user if they are not an administrator.

    • The install writes to the master install log file "AdagioMasterInstall.log" in the \softrak\system folder. This log shows the version installed and the version being replaced, the name of the Windows user who did the install and the rights for that user. An entry is also written to the log when an updated version of the Adagio Data Source (ADS) is installed, showing the version installed and the version being replaced. This log can be used to quickly determine the install history for all Adagio programs.
