    ·    The 64-bit version of Adagio GridView (if available) is launched from the Adagio menu and for custom Views added to the Inquiries menu. The 64-bit version makes use of more memory (if available), allowing for views on larger databases and it can be faster. Note: this is not yet supported on Adagio Cloud.

    ·    It is easier to choose the correct field from tables with large numbers of fields in the Column Editor. You can now sort the list, restrict the list using the data type you are searching for (Text, Date, Amount and Value), and type in some text likely to identify the field. Use the Select the Type option on the Select Fields dialog to show fields of that type.

    ·    Message dialogs now include the Adagio module, user and date/time. This is helpful when screen captures show error and warning messages.

    ·    When DocStore is integrated, a new option Attach Report Set Files is available when generating a batch file and choosing to Email the Automation Log with the Always setting. All applications that support the option to email report sets and have automation commands to print report sets to PDF will save a copy of these PDFs in a temporary exchange folder and allow attachment to the email with the automation log.

    ·    New automation command nouns have been added in Adagio modules to allow attaching report set PDF/Excel files to the email with the automation log results. This allows reports from multiple modules to be attached on a single email. The EmailPDFAutoLog has Overwrite/Attach and Append/Attach nouns to include PDF/Excel files from report sets. This feature is only available in Adagio modules if Adagio Console 9.3A is installed. Adagio modules supporting this feature as of the release of Console 9.3A are the current releases of: Ledger, Receivables, Invoices, OrderEntry and Inventory.

    ·    An additional parameter for batch files when starting an Adagio program /b{batch file name} has been created to support the new feature of attaching report set PDFs with the automation log email.

    ·    Added Time Format option to the View Application Log function. It can be set to Local or UTC (Greenwich Mean Time). In the previous version and for more current versions of the modules, the log entries were shown with UTC times. Sites with only one location should use Local. Sites with multiple locations in different time zones should use UTC.

    ·    You can now create a Console Batch file for a different user than the sign-on user. You will be prompted for the password for the other user for security reasons.

    ·    If a user has access to the Maintain Automation Log feature, they also have the ability to view all of the automation logs for any user.

    ·    List Versions list now has ExcelDirect button.

    ·    An error message was displayed by the Copy Definitions function if Filters were copied for some 9.3A modules, including Ledger, Receivables and FX.

    XConsole

    ·    Added a ‘Defaults’ button in XConsole. This replaces using the right-click menu of the program icon on the window title bar to launch the Defaults function, as the button is more standard and intuitive.

    ·    Added the time remaining until shut down to the right-click pop-up menu in XConsole for items pending shut down (i.e. on the Cancel pop-up).

    ·    In some circumstances, case sensitivity of the specified shutdown path in XConsole did not properly perform the shutdown. This has been fixed.

    ·    Adagio Console and Adagio XConsole have been updated for Adagio Cloud.

    ·    The Email Recipient field in Set Global Options has been changed to an email address (rather than a name for the person receiving the email from an automation batch). This allows the Email Recipient and the Return Address to be different email addresses. In previous versions you had to put the recipient’s email address into the Return Address.

Note: For users who previously had a name in the email recipient field rather than an email address, the program checks if the email recipient field contains an “@\\\" and, if not, it copies the return address into the email recipient field so emailing of automation batch files continues to work without requiring you to make a change.

    ·    Multiple email addresses are supported in the Email Recipient field.

    ·    Supports Transport Layer Security (TLS) / Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for secure email servers when emailing documents. Added option 'Use TLS/SSL' added to the Set Global Options function.

    ·    The email password for servers that require authentication is now encrypted in the file containing email settings.

    ·    In Console 9.2A, the Generate Automation Batch File function added spaces between characters the batch file and therefore it would not run.

     ·    In Console 9.2A, the “Not For Resale” (NFR) screen was displayed every time you logged in for Adagio resellers running the NFR version. Note: The NFR screen will be displayed monthly for older versions of Adagio modules, which could prevent an automation from completing.

    ·    In Console 9.2A when both the /u and /p parameters were used on the command line, the Open Data screen was not bypassed. This prevented automation jobs from running.

    ·    The Currently Logged In list in XConsole now shows the full Application Name rather than only the App Prefix.

    ·    Added the ability to have XConsole automatically shut down Adagio applications when a station goes to sleep or hibernates. A station going to sleep is essentially the same as a dropped connection, which causes Adagio applications to stop responding and when the station exits sleep mode the application is hung. Click the Shutdown button in XConsole and select all or individual stations. Note: This function works on stations running Windows 8 or higher.

    ·    Scheduled shutdowns did not work in some cases when a mixture of mapped drives and UNC’s were used when opening databases.

    ·    The Start Time of scheduled items in xConsole changed by one hour when the computer time changed to or from Daylight Saving Time.

    ·    Added View Application Log function. You can view user activity logs from Adagio 9.2A modules, selecting by transactions by date, modules and Adagio users.

    ·    Adagio Console now logs user activity within the module, including login/out and menu choices. Audit logs may be viewed with GridView or the View Application Log function added for this release.

    ·    Added the Application Name to the grid in the Active User List function. This makes it clear for applications with uncommon Application Prefixes, such as QI (Adagio Invoices) and IR (PurchaseOrders).

    ·    Support added for FX-based automation commands in Console batches.

    ·    Support added to Copy Definitions, Clone User and Delete user for Adagio ePrint.

    ·    The Column Editor screen can be sized.

    ·    Updated splash screen and icon with new Adagio logo and colors.

    Problems Fixed

    ·    The progress bar was not displayed in the Copy Definitions function.

    ·    The command line parameters /u and /p did not work.

    ·    The Help | Print Registration function did not work. It did not reprint the registration for when the product was registered.

From previous Adagio Console 9.1A Hot Fixes

    ·    The Generate Batch Files function supports BankRec, Inventory, and Payables 9.2A versions, as well as future 9.2A versions of other modules where the program folder and filename have changed to long names (e.g. \softrak\apwin\apwin.exe changed to \softrak\payables\payables.exe).

    ·    The Copy Definitions function supports copying Filters in version 9.2A modules where Filters can be displayed in Style Priority sequence.

    ·    Copy Definitions did not correctly copy Security Groups for Adagio Ledger to the target company, resulting in incorrect settings for access to menu functions.

    ·    An extra double quote was used in the path to the EXE in Automation Batch files (.bat), although it did not to impact the running of the Batch file created.

    ·    If you scheduled a shutdown from a workstation with a computer name longer than 8 characters, xConsole could not be opened on any station.

    ·    Added user name to machine name to further refine Exempt for use with Remote Desktop Services / Terminal Services. After installing this version you must delete and renter any scheduled items.

Enhancements and revisions in Adagio Console 9.1A (2013.11.15)

       Initial release of Adagio Console.

Adagio Console enables Automation in other Adagio modules that support it. Automation allows you to automate many functions including retrieving, posting, importing, printing reports and forms, day end, backup and integrity check, etc. across modules. The Generate Automation Batch File function allows you to create Windows batch files that will run Automation Files in the supported modules. The Edit Automation Files and Maintain Automation Log functions will appear on the menu in supported modules when Adagio Console is installed.

       Adagio Console includes these functions:

o List Versions - a list of the modules installed at your site including the version and version date.

o Maintain Companies - a list of company databases at your site generated from the Previously Open database list for all modules, for all users.

o Copy Definitions - allows you to copy User Preferences, Security Groups, Report Favorites, Report Sets, Grid Settings, Email settings, Import/Export templates and Filters by company, module and user.

o Clone User - allows you to clone an Adagio user for a company, copying User Preferences, Report Favorites, Report Sets, Grid Settings, and Email settings by module from another user.

o Remove User - deletes a user and their User Preferences, Report Favorites, Report Sets, Grid Settings, and Email settings, for selected companies by module.

The results of these functions are maintained in a Task Log that can be viewed, printed and cleared.

Adagio Console includes the utility Adagio xConsole. It allows an administrator to send a message to Adagio users, shut down unattended Adagio applications or lock Adagio modules from being started, for example when installing upgrades.
