Client reported COm:initializePrinter Error reading Licence information 4380 error when trying to print the message came up and then when hitting ok it would then print. Is this that Adagio PDF error that others are experiencing. What is causing this error and best way to correct.

You can either user control Panel | Administrative Tools | Services or Task Manager | Services tab | Services. In either case, you'll want to Restart the service.

I've encountered this a few times with Win7 and Win10 both. Sometimes, the service needs to be restarted several times and the w/s restarted before it will take.

The cause is not 100% known, although in one case they felt strongly that it occurred after a Windows update. It has only affected a very small percentage of AdagioV2PDF sites. We are looking at it though.

What w/s OS is being run? And, is it Home or Pro?

I have a client with 2 Windows 10 Pro w/s setup in a peer to peer network that now has this problem. Even a cold restart did not resolve the problem.

Upgraded Adagio on Feb 13 to current versions.

Problem started about 1 week ago.

Impacts all Adagio modules.

Exact error: COM: InitializePrinter - Error reading license information 4380

Hi, Doug,

Make sure their Windows updates are up to date. Then, restart the service either via the Control Panel and Administrative Tools or the Task Manager.

I had this error on one Windows 10 Pro machine. It started after a recent Windows Update. I fixed it by uninstalled all novaPDF items in Windows Programs and Features, then started an Adagio module, and it reinstalled novaPDF automatically. The error stopped occurring.
