Using Paymate Acclaim - latest version.
When importing payroll to Adagio ledger v9.0D, receiving error that reads "invalid data for field called "record type1" of record 1.
This error continues for all following records.
The import had been working correctly and no updates have been done.
When looking at the exported file from Paymate the record type is showing as "E"

Thanks,

Yes, something has changes ... still trying to figure out what that something is.
Went to another installation with the same programs running but had no issue.
Only difference was that the system with the problem is running W8.1 and the other W7PRO.
There had been a windows update on the W8.1, but we did a rollback, but this did not help.

Any suggestions on something else to try will be much appreciated!

Thanks, Bill

Are you using an import template to import a batch of transactions? Does Paymate generate a CSV or an Excel spreadsheet?

Yes, we are using an import template. The template is the same that has been used successfully.
Paymate generates a CSV file.

What versions of Excel are installed on the two machines? 64 or 32 bit? Are both machines using the same template to retrieve the transactions? Are they retrieving the same file? Have you compared the fields in the file to the fields defined in the template?

Both machines are using the same template. They are retrieving the same file. I have done the comparison and they are correct.
I have also re-installed all Adagio Modules and the Paymate program.
Issue still unresolved.
When comparing the files from the 2 installations, they are identical.
Hmmmmm??

Another update,

Copied their data to another system, installed same versions of Ledger and Paymate.
Used the paymate file created on the original system.
Updated with no errors.
Original system has W8.1 for OS.
Trial system has W7.
