Were asked to convert 12 separate financial statements from Excel to Adagio GL (FR) and to maintain the original format exactly.

The Adagio Import function worked really well. There is a single GL! File with 12 separate tabs. Because 12 sheets were imported, there is no corresponding Account Group setup. This seems to have given rise to several issues. They are:

•We cannot print all tabs at once. We have added a cover page tab, a summary, etc., so there are now about 15 tabs to print. Is there some way to issue one print command and have all tabs printed? Without getting too greedy, I would also like sequential page numbers to span the tabs.

•Is there some way to activate all tabs and change the fiscal year/period on all tabs simultaneously?

•The zero suppress does not work. Is this somehow related to the fact that everything was imported from Excel?

•If I cannot do any of this in Adagio, is there a way that I can export my entire FR file to Excel without doing it tab-by-tab?

Hi Brian:

You can do all of those things with a Statement Group. SInce you have 15 pages to print, you will need to have the statement in the Statement Group 15 times. When you create the Statement Group, there's an option for consecutive page numbering.

You could come to the Adagio Opportunity Conference and learn all about the Financial Reporter and Statement Groups at the Financial Reporter pre-conference workshop.

Hi Brian,

Actually, you just need to add a multi-tab statement once to a Statement Group, not once for each tab. When including a statement in a Group, you can pick and choose which tabs (or all) to print.

The only benefits of having multi-tab statements is having one file instead of many, and using cell references to print values from one sheet on another. Everything else can be combined using Statement Groups, such as one-time selection of the fiscal year/period and consecutive page numbering, and sending everything back to a consolidated Excel workbook.
