I have made a cross tab report in Crystal reports showing item sales for each saleperson. I had to add a new salesperson and change the name of an existing one. When doing the report now, it is not reflecting these name changes. It is listing all the items sales for each salesperson; however the new one doesn't have a name and the changed one is still the old name. All the other salespersons names are correct. Any ideas what might be happening. Linda

Which version are AR are you using? If version 9, are you linking to the Salesperson table from OE or from AR? Since Salespeople are now entered through AR, the Salesperson table in OE is no longer updated.

I am using O/E 8.1D and A/R 9.0B. For my tables I am using OEW65 Order History Detail, OEW65 Order History Header and OEW65 Salespersons. I have Item # linked in Detail and Header, and Salesperson Code linked in Header and Salesperson. For the last day I have tried to design a new report using ARW90 Salesperson, but I cannot get that file to link with the others.

There is a technical document available on how to change your reports for AR v9x (in this case changing the salesperson from OE to AR). This document is availbale from your Adagio dealer/consultant.

The standard linking for using those 3 files is to base the report on OE Details, linking to the OE Header file by the prefixed document number. Then a link from the OE Header file to the AR Salesperson file by the Salesperson code. This configuration will show all the (selected) sales, and be able to get information from the salesperson file, such as the Name. It will not list salespersons with no sales.

Following the document that Doug referred to is the easiest way to convert the report from using the old file to using the new file.

I can use the linking above to create a new cross-tab report from scratch, so the links indeed work.
