Quote from Help Screen:
o NOTE: Whether the user intends to change any of the default fax setup information or not, each user must go into the Fax Setup function, enter the Fax Printer field once (by clicking on it, even if you don’t change the selected printer), and then click OK.

Users will be unable to fax documents prior to doing this.

Where is "Fax printer field" in Fax setup?

Perhaps 'Fax Port' instead?

Never mind. Found it.

I think it should refer to "Fax Port" instead, and in fact may well no longer be necessary as the faxing changed in V8.1 to support Vista (and Windows 7). There is no longer a "fax printer" required to fax documents.

Hi Andrew,
Kate is our VAR for Syracuse Glass Co. and this question originated from Us. Im having a time trying to setup faxing statements through recievables. The email is working fine through our exchange server. How exactly do i go about setting up faxing statements? we are running a windows network and the workstations are running windows XP pro. Ive read here on the forum there is a softfax application that installs with recievables? Where would i find that? Any Help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Robert:

Once the Adagio modules are installed onto a XP computer, you will see a printer called "Softrak's Softfax" in Windows "Printers and Faxes". It will appear there just like other printers.

Configuration of the fax function is done through the Receivables module.

Adagio version after V8.1 no longer use a printer driver to generate a fax to send. You need a local fax modem on a workstation to dial and send the fax. There is an INI setting in the fax section to test sending a fax to your own fax number (check the documentation for details).

What part of the process isn't working?
