Hi All,

While doing an intgrity check, we got a critical error in PO for Adagio 8.0 saying that the amount of lines in the PO does not match the amount of lines in the header file. This error is coming up for a lot of POs (so far around 20).

Any advice on how to go forward?

Thanks,

Cam

Further to the above problem, after the check finished (with 10,534 errors on POs, receipts, and adjustments - most being the above mentioned error) the rebuild option did not rebuild these errors. We tried to print the outstanding receipts list, and it was blank - when we know it shouldn't be. We checked a few receipts that appeared on the error list, and the details were gone.

I rolled the data back to a backup we did this morning just so we can get working again.

I spoke with our vendor - 21st Century Systems - and she suggested either rolling back the complete dataset until we had a clean set, or getting the PO data repaired.

I'm thinking rolling back the entire dataset would be way too much work (not the rolling back, but the rekeying of tons of info in OE, IC, PO etc).

How much will a PO dataset repair run me? Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Cam

Hi, Cam,

Your dealer has given you good advice and, from what you describe, this is probably exactly what you will have to do -- roll back your data to a prior clean backup.

If the files have been damaged and this much data is missing, we probably won't be able to repair them. However, if you'd like, you can upload your PO/IC data to our database repair site (www.softrak.com/dbr) and we'll look at it to confirm if there is anything we can do or not. Please ensure the zip files you upload are no larger than 50mb each, & put your company name in the comment.

You will probably want to confer more with your dealer/consultant prior to restoring everything from backup to ensure it is done cleanly.

I've uploaded the IC and PO data.

The funny thing is the data is only missing after we do an integrity check - everything seems to be OK before the check.

Anyway, let me know how the data looks.

Thanks!

I have a complete dataset backup from this morning that would probably be best to use. The problem is that it is 170mb.

What would be the best way to send that file? Can I just break it up into 4 parts?

Hi, Cam,

Yes, you can carefully break it up into 4 parts and upload each.

Hi All,

I just had a chat with my boss (who used to support Accpac back in the day) and he thinks he can fix this. So when he gets back from sunny Orlando he'll take a look.

Thanks for the help anyway!

If there is severe "structural" damage to a file then the internal rebuild will sometime discard records that should have been kept.

The data you are sending should be BEFORE you did a rebuild. Once you do a rebuild and the data disappears it will be no use to Softrak.
